Michael Moore

Yesterday afternoon I watched one TV program entitled literally “unyielding filmmaker -Michael Moore” on BS1. 50-minute-program mainly consisted of interview by Kuniya Hiroko, making his latest film, his first stay in Japan.
Michael Moore was born in Flint, Michigan in 1954. In those days Flint was one of the most important production footholds of General Motor. Michael’s parents, his relatives, many his neighbors were GM workers. The days he raised in Flint became his original experience. Young Michael knew that the Major ruled over and controlled the people living in Flint.

Once I had caught him as a fat troublemaker. But I remembered his speech at the Academy Award Ceremony in 2003. His 2002 film “Bowling for Columbine” won Academy Award for Documentary Feature. It also won big titles at Cannes Film Festival and France’s Cesar Award. Among a few raisings >_< and lots of booing XD, he insulted and insulted President Bush. We must remember the fact that over 70% American people supported Bush’s War at that time. Recently he lashed out against President Obama, whom he supported in 2008 presidential elections, as ‘War President.’ Who has changed, Moore or Obama? Both? It is a clear fact for Moore that Obama has changed. 'War for Peace' is contradiction, isn’t it?.

In the interview by Kuniya, touching the world the highest Capitalism reaches now, Moore at age 55 appealed two things to us.
To change the systems against Democracy. Nowadays the highest Capitalism realized a bad dream. Capitalism and Democracy are contradictory.
To act and live, considering other’s benefit. Just only one percent rich rule over people around the world. Money gamers are following not for public welfare but the rules of money. Globalism is not internationalism.

I must say with chagrin I can’t see Moore’s films here in a local city. Also we have neither Michael Moore nor Noam Chomsky here in a local-:D country.
The following Promotion Video is that of his “Capitalism :A Love Story” from YouTube.
